If you are in the military and need to get a new CAC card, there are a few things you will need to bring with you. First, you must be clean shaven with no jewelry. You must also wear the top portion of your uniform. If you have long hair, it must be pulled back and up off the collar. You will also need to bring two forms of State or Federal IDs (1 with photo). Last, you will need your current orders and a Trusted Assoc Sponsorship System (TASS) form signed by a Command Sponsor if entering the military within 30 days.
If your spouse needs a new CAC card, they will need to bring in an original or certified copy of their marriage certificate along with two forms of State or Federal IDs (1 with photo).
If you are a civilian new hire, contract worker, retiree, veteran, dependent of someone on orders at RIA, or spouse of one of those people and need a CAC card then you will need to go to the RAPIDS website and schedule an appointment. Be aware that you will need an AKO account prior to scheduling your appointment. If you are more than five minutes late for your appointment, you will need to reschedule.
To obtain a CAC, the individual must be entered into the Trusted Assoc Sponsorship System (TASS).
