The Naval Station Norfolk Youth Center is a mission essential program, the School Age Care program offers a full range of services. During the school year, before and after care is available for children with transportation provided to area elementary and middle schools. All day care services are provided for school holiday weeks and school in-service days for enrolled members. During the summer months, fully developed recreation camps are offered to accommodate children while school is out. Field trips and special events are offered and free to all participants. Costs for care services are based on total family income. SAC Programs are all fully accredited with the Council on Accreditation (COA).
The youth summer camp is available to children six to 12 years of age and five-year olds that have graduated kindergarten. Camps offer a variety of age appropriate activities that enhance cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. Activities include Boys and Girls Club programming, 4-H programming, swimming, bowling, golf, field trips and much more. Spaces fill up quickly, so dont wait to register!
