Looking for a fun golfing experience on base? Check out the Kirtland Air Force Base Golf Course! This course is 6,971 yards from the championship tees with a course rating of 71.9/slope 127 and a challenging 5,889 yards from the forward tees with a course rating of 73.3/slope 131.
There is a grass driving range (not found at every course), chipping and two putting greens.
The clubhouse has indoor seating for 150 and the patio can hold the overflow. The pro shop carries several lines of clubs, balls, shoes and clothing all reasonably priced. If it isn’t there it can be special ordered.
There is rental equipment available as well as electric carts and lockers in the men’s and ladies locker rooms.
E-1–E-4 $10.75; E-5 and above and all authorized user civilians, contractors $17; Seniors over 60 $14 and juniors 17 and under $6 to walk. A cart is $10 per rider.
Twilight rates begin at 3 p.m. Rates are E-1–E-4 $18; E-5 and up, seniors, all authorized user civilians are $18. These prices include a cart. Civilian guests are $25 and $20.
Tournaments and leagues
Tournaments may be set up by calling the tournament coordinator at 505-846-1169. You will be assisted with setting up the date and you will get our tournament package to help you in deciding which tournament package you want. They are available in several price ranges.

Bogey Grill
If food service after the tournament is needed or if you want to hold a working luncheon or an evening social event, call 505-846-7835 and we can discuss menu options with you. We can tailor it to fit your needs. The setting is beautiful for any organized event. There is a different special in the snack bar everyday. Mongolian BBQ on Wednesday is especially exciting. Each item is prepared as it is ordered, so it comes to you hot and freshly made.
TAGA
TAGA is the men’s golf association, but women can belong, too. One Saturday morning each month they hold an organized tournament. It is great fun and a good way to meet new golfers. By joining this association you gain access to the Sun Country Golf Association handicap system.
TAWGA
TAWGA is the women’s golf association and they get together each Thursday morning and hold their event. They are always looking for new members and if you are interested come to the golf course by 7:30 a.m. on Thursday and join the women.
Junior golfers
Each summer there is a camp for junior golfers. This year there were 16 youngsters that took part. Each received a certificate of completion in the Golf 4 Kids program and they had a great time.
