Fun Things To Do Near Fort Hood
Lake Belton is a great place for boating, fishing, swimming and camping! The 75-acre lake also has water skiing, wake boarding and kneeboarding available. Many different activities are scheduled regularly by the marina, including family fish fries, dog shows and boat races.
Access the marina by car, boat or bike. There are also many great trails in the area for biking, walking or jogging! Hike around the lake to find hiking and mountain biking trails between Belton Dam and East End Park/Woodsprings. Don’t forget to visit Fort Hood while you’re there! The fort has a variety of activities for visitors, including the free museum and parade ground.
If you’re looking for a place to have a picnic, there are pavilions available to rent at Lake Belton. The pavilions vary in size and can accommodate anywhere from 50-300 people. Prices start at $27/month. There are also playgrounds, swimming areas and water slides available at the park.
