Are you a military retiree looking for information on your ID card? Here are the basics:
-Retiree ID cards now have an expiration date due to a recent system update.
-To add children to DEERS, the sponsor must bring the child’s birth certificate, social security card, and marriage certificate (if applicable).
-To add a spouse to DEERS, the sponsor must bring the spouse’s birth certificate, social security card, marriage certificate (if applicable), and photo ID.
-For first time DoD 100% DAV ID issuance, the following documents are required: DD214, VA Award Letter/Award Packet, State or Federal Government Issued Photo ID and Social Security Card.
-All foreign documents must have a certified English translation (if applicable) AND an Apostille or Consular certification.
-Full time student IDs are now issued to the end of the current semester, graduation date (if information is provided on school letter) or 23 if occurs sooner.
-To cancel or reschedule an appointment, the customer will need their confirmation number.
