The Cold Region Test Center in Fort Greely, Alaska, performs cold
weather tests on new and modified equipment, clothing, and material to see how
it will stand up under extremely cold temperatures.
Tropic testing is
done out of Panama, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Performs the same tests
to see how equipment will perform in extreme heat and humidity.
