Home Rentals:
Some single family home rentals have fenced in
yards and will accept children but are limited on pet
acceptance. Very few furnished home rentals available. There are also
condominiums and townhomes available. These usually offer more
amenities compared to apartments, such as washer/dryer hook-ups and
garage. In most cases, first months rent plus deposit and deposit for
utilities is required upon move-in. You should purchase renters
insurance for off and on-base housing. Neither government nor the
landlord can be held responsible for damage to your personal
property. The housing referral office at MCAS, Yuma can provide you
with a list of realtors in the area.
Apartments:
Apartment complexes vary in price. Apartments
are scarce during the winter months (Oct-Mar), but plentiful during the summer
(Apr-Sep). Most landlords require an application fee ranging from $10
and up, these are non-refundable. Average rental rates:
1
Bedroom $464
2 Bedroom $580
3 Bedroom $730
Dogs and cats are hard
to place, especially the larger ones. Some complexes charge an extra
fee for pets.
