Comprehensive preschool services are offered to four year old
children living in Yuma District One who meet attendance requirements such as
birth date and income. The Arizona Preschool Project is a collaborative effort
between public schools, federally funded programs and private preschools. As
part of the preschool experience, children receive health screenings and needed
social service referrals. Parents become part of the team by volunteering in the
classroom and participating in parent involvement activities.
