The Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  The center provides quality childcare to children ages 6 weeks through Kindergarten.  The individual needs of each child are considered and the curriculum is planned accordingly through age appropriate activities and staff interactions which enhance a child's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

ELIGIBILITY

Children of Active Duty Military, Reservists, National Guard, DOD civilian personnel (APF and NAF), and DoD contractors are eligible to use the services of all Army operated and or sponsored CYS programs at YPG.

CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Includes children with special needs (asthma, cancer, learning disabilities, developmental delays, vision and hearing problems, diabetes, attention deficit disorder, etc.) in all programs.  To ensure each child is enrolled in the appropriate program or service, the Special Needs Resource Team (SNRT) meets with the parent and review relevant records prior to placement.  The goal of this "family-friendly" team is to share information to ensure the success of the child's placement into any CYS program.  In the event of a new or updated diagnosis after placement, the parent is asked to inform the center Director so that an additional SNRT meeting can be scheduled.

REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT POLICIES:

Children between the ages of 6 weeks through Kindergarten are eligible for center programs.  A non-refundable enrollment fee of $18.00 for the first and second child or $40.00 for a family with 3 or more children is required upon initial enrollment and annually thereafter.  All registrations are good for one year.  The registration fee has reciprocity Army-wide and is transferable from installation to installation with appropriate documentation of enrollment status.

Central Registration:
Please call (928) 328-3130/3119/DSN 899-3130/3119, Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm.
