There are four regular High Schools and two alternative
schools.
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
All
students must be enrolled in six classes for credit. Twenty-two credits are
required for graduation. Thirteen and one-half required credits are
as follows:
English - Four credits
Mathematics - Two credits (requires
a full credit in two different courses)
Science - Two credits
Social
Studies - Three credits to include:
World History/Geography - One
credit
American History - One credit
Free Enterprise - One-half
credit
Health Education - One-half credit
Physical Education - One
credit
Practical Arts or Fine Arts/Graphic Arts - One credit
(Any
credit in Business, Agriculture, Industrial, Technology, Family and Consumer
Science (Home Economics), performing dance, sports medicine, or Fine
Arts/Graphic Arts).
Seniors needing four or less credits for graduation
may request to enroll in a minimum of four classes on campus
daily. Written permission must be granted by parents/legal guardians
and school administration. Students exercising this option must
provide their own transportation and must immediately leave campus after their
last class.
