The utility uniform is the uniform of the day for Station personnel. Unless otherwise specified, Navy personnel will follow guidelines set forth by the Chief of Naval Aviation Training Instruction 1020.7B which directs Navy personnel to wear summer whites starting the third Monday in March. Service dress blues will be worn beginning the first Monday in November. The khaki uniform is an alternate uniform approved year-round for officers and chief petty officers.
Appropriate civilian attire may be worn in service clubs, exchange outlets, morale, welfare and recreation activities and the mess hall (except for midrats). PT gear is not authorized in exchange outlets. Military dependent, guests and retired persons should observe regulations regarding appropriate attire while on board the installation.
If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures.
