Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Cheatham Annex is a
tenant command of Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. Cheatham Annex is
located near Williamsburg approximately eight (8) miles from NWS. It
is comprised of approximately 15,779 acres including over 200
lakes. Cheatham Annex (CAX) is responsible for receiving, storing,
issuing, packing and shipping equipment. There is an enlisted
bachelor quarters, chief's quarters, small Navy branch exchange, thirteen (13)
family housing units and wide variety of MWR activities including an 18-hole
golf course, bowling alley, twelve (12) recreational cabins, RV/camp sites,
gymnasium and many outdoor recreational activities.
The
SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING, CONVERSION AND REPAIR, USN, Newport News,
(SUPSHIPNN) is a field activity of Naval Sea Systems Command and is responsible
for the administration of Department of Defense shipbuilding design, conversion,
overhaul and repair contracts with Newport News
Shipbuilding. SUPSHIPNN is located at 4101 Washington Avenue, Newport
