The Family Advocacy Program (FAP), a Department of Defense (DOD)
mandated program, responds to domestic violence allegations regarding military
families. It involves prevention, identification of abuse, reporting,
intervention, and follow-up in cases of child abuse/neglect and spouse
abuse. DOD, Navy, and legislative requirements govern Navy
FAP.
