Adult education classes are not offered at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown.  However, the Navy College Education Center or Navy Campus manages the Adult or Continuing Education Program, for the Naval Weapons Station.  Services include:  education counseling, interest testing, DANTES credit by examination program (DSST/CLEP/RCEP), GED preparation and examination, tuition assistance for active duty members, College entrance examinations for undergraduate and graduate level programs, and academic skills (developmental) courses.

New active duty military students should get started by first attending one of the tuition assistance orientation classes held twice weekly.

There is a wide array of educational facilities that offer both adult and continuing education.  Many are offered through high schools, colleges, universities and community programs.  For more information refer to the Virginia Department of Education web site and or the contacts/links below for further information pertaining to adult continuing education.  Also, see Education:  Community:  Adult Education.
