Job Center 1111 Edwin C. Moses Blvd. Dayton, OH 45422 937-225-5531
This is a "One Stop Shop" center, where a number of Human Service Agencies are housed. They are as follows: WIC (Women, Infants, & Children); SCOPE (Supporting Council of Preventive Effort); Department of Human Services; Children Services Board; Metropolitan Housing; HeadStart & the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, to mention a few.
There are several agencies which have a special relationship to the WPAFB community: WIC and HeadStart. The unique relationship we enjoy at Wright-Patterson with the Montgomery County WIC Program is that a military member or their dependent may access this service by scheduling an appointment at the OB-GYN Clinic (257-1938) or the Pediatric Clinic (257-6746). This allows for greater convenience to our members, as they have a choice to begin the process "close to home". The unique relationship we have regarding the HeadStart Program is that if a couple is assessed to be "at risk" during intake at the Family Support Center, that family is favored with "priority enrollment" with the local HeadStart Programs. Call the Family Support Center at 937-257-5957, DSN 787-5957 for consideration. Another unique opportunity at Wright-Patterson is that the Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services (ODFSJ) has an itinerant service in the Family Support Center. There are two ODFSJ Veterans Representatives assigned in the center during regular business hours to benefit veterans who are transitioning or considering doing so. They not only serve on an individual basis, but they conduct Transition Seminars two to three times a month.
