STAR TRANSIT is a public transportation system operated by the
Accomack/Northhampton Transit District Commission. Three busses run
from Chincoteague to Cape Charles three times daily. Passenger fare
is $1.00 for one-way transportation within any one fare zone. Passage
into or through an additional fare zone is $1.00. All passengers are
asked to abide by the following safety rules:
* You must wear seatbelts while
aboard a Star Vehicle.
* Please, no eating, drinking or smoking while on
vehicles.
* Children under the age of 4 must be transported in a safety
seat.
* Please use a headset if you desire to listen to a personal
radio/tape
player.\
* No standing while the
vehicle is in motion.
Physically or sensory impared services
available. 24 hour advanced notice required for route
deviation.
Inclement weather events. Listen to local radio
stations for route/schedule changes.
