Naval Base Ventura County has two Child Development Center buildings at the Point Mugu site and two buildings at the Port Hueneme site. The Child Development program is accredited by NAEYC/Navy Child Development providing full time day care. USDA Food Program provides breakfast,lunch and snacks for all enrolled children from 6 weeks to 5 years. Children of active duty personnel and NBVC civilian employees are eligible as space is available.The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department's Youth Centers offer before and after-school care for school-aged children.
