Most rentals in this area will NOT accept pets.  When pets are permitted, most landlords and property managers have restrictions as to size, number, and kind.  An additional deposit ranging from $250 and up, plus $25 more a month per pet could be assessed.

BEFORE you actually agree to rent, be sure you have completely checked all the costs involved.  Landlords are not at fault, nor can they be expected to make allowance, if you rent a unit you cannot afford.  The Relocation Assistance Program office provides a handout that assists with comparison shopping for rentals.  The Personal Financial Management Program manager can assist in building a budget to keep expenses within income limits.
