If you are relocating to Vandenberg AFB from overseas and are shipping your POV, please contact the Traffic Management Office (TMO) at your current duty station for entitlements, restrictions and to see/receive the POV booklet about shipping your car which includes ports of entry.  When you pick up the POV at the destination terminal, you must have:  Proper identification - i.e., military ID, driver's license;  your copy of DD Form 788, "Private Vehicle Shipping Document"; complete set of keys; Power of attorney if spouse or agent picks up the POV.  If your vehicle is not picked up within 45 days from the postmarked date of notification of arrival, you are subject to the vehicle being placed in storage at your expense.  To avoid unnecessary trips to the port, contact the terminal POV processing center for official confirmation that the POV is on-hand and available for pickup.

When you arrive, contact the Vandenberg AFB TMO for further information on how to retrieve your vehicle.

The latest "Shipping Your POV" pamphlet is available on the MTMC Website located in the overview web address. The booklet will provide contact information and directions to all ports.  Cross Reference Related Subject, POV IN-BOUND SHIPMENTS
