The Division of Special
Education supports the AACPS goals of academic achievement, safe and orderly
environment and community partnerships by working collaboratively with general
educators to ensure maximum educational opportunities for all students with
disabilities.
The Division of Special Education is comprised
of five offices: Preschool Services (birth to age 5), Elementary
Instruction, Secondary Instruction, Out of Home School Placements, Compliance
and Related Services.
