There are many pre-school options available in Anne Arundel County.  The state of Maryland requires that children must be 4 years of age on or before September 3rd in order to apply for admission to the pre-school programs in the 2007/2008 school year.  Children must also live in the school attendance zone in order to attend a state-funded pre-school. Parents, along with their child, must bring their child's birth certificate, any health documentation, immunization record and 2 proofs of residency to the school in order to register for the program.

Many excellant private schools are available in Anne Arundel County. Many of these schools have a religious affiliation, but have an open acceptance policy. For information about schools in the area, contact your Fleet and Family Support Center.
