Several high schools in the State of Hawaii are designated as
Adult Education centers, and hold classes and testing for the Hawaii General
Equivalency Diploma. To obtain a GED in Hawaii, you must be at least
17 years old and not be attending high school. If you attended high
school on the mainland, you must take a one semester Adult Education class
before you will be permitted to take the GED exam. Classes are
conducted in the fall, spring and summer, and costs are minimal ($20-$30).
