Since there are no "installation agencies" as such (most social
service programs will be handled through the FSC), it is important that we learn
to access the community programs which exist in the Miami area. There
are many resources for help, and you can find a good referral resource through
the MRC. The important thing to remember is that there IS help
available, no matter what the problem, and there are many resources available to
help you find the assistance you need. You are not alone.
The
first step is to talk your problem over with someone who can refer you to the
proper agency. Your minister, chaplain, priest or rabbi should be
able to point you in the right direction. All of the agencies have a
screening tool on the first call, and if they aren't the proper agency to help
you, they can and will refer you to the proper agency. A few of the
