COAST GUARD:
Active duty personnel are first priority at
Coast Guard health services clinics. Coast Guard clinics are primary
care managers for active duty Coast Guard only. All active duty
members are entitled to receive complete and unqualified
treatment. Non active duty members, NOT enrolled in TRICARE Prime,
are second priority and are entitled to medical services, contingent upon the
availability of space, facilities, and the capabilities of the clinic
staff. When services are unavailable, beneficiaries will need to
obtain care from a TRICARE authorized provider.
There are two health
services clinics in the Miami area for U.S. Coast Guard
personnel. One is located at Air Station Miami that services CG Air
Station Miami, CG TACLET South, CG D7 TACLET, CG Station Ft. Lauderdale and CGC
GANNETT personnel and DOD and non active duty members NOT enrolled in TRICARE
Prime or TRICARE Prime Remote. Retired dependents are not seen at the
clinic but can use the pharmacy. Dental care at the Air Station is
only for active duty Coast Guard personnel. The other clinic is located at
Causeway Island which only services active duty personnel. All family
members will need to be signed up for medical/dental care through
TRICARE.
For directions to either Air Station Miami or Causeway Island,
please see CATEGORY: Location - SUBJECT: Directions.
