The Education Services Officer (ESO) is located at ISC Miami on
Causeway Island. and can be reached at 305-535-4592. This goal of the
program is to assist Coast Guard personnel pursue the many educational
opportunities available to them. Information can be provided
on:

> Coast Guard Institute courses
> How
to receive college credit for experience gained from military service and
training
> Information on local colleges
> Information on
independent college studies
> Scholarship opportunities for military
personnel
> Educational videos to assist in preparation for DANTES
exams
> Officer Candidate School and Pre-Commissioning Program for
Enlisted Personnel applications
There is also the DANTES
program for military personnel and their SPOUSES. Features of the
DANTES program includes:
> GED tests to earn your high school
diploma
> Tests to earn potential college credits (this includes CLEP
General and Subject exams, DANTES sponsored DSST exams, and ACT PEP
exams)
> College entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT test

Graduate school entrance exams such as the GRE and GMAT

various types of certifications
