CURRENT TRENDS
Teenagers in Panama City dress very casual.  Popular dress items include short shorts, Tommy Hilfiger and Nautica clothing, and camouflage jackets.  The weather remains fairly warm throughout the year so not much heavy clothing like sweaters is needed.  Sandals for both guys and gals are always popular. Nike and Adidas sport sandals are the current rage. For most teens and adults for that matter, dressing up in Panama City means wearing shoes.  The standing joke in Panama City is the concept of the 3 piece suit--shorts, T-shirt, and flip-flops.

Popular music in this area varies.  Rock, R&B, and Country are all popular.

Teens in Panama City are very friendly.  Within the first week or two after you arrive, you'll have a lot of new friends!
