While there is often some overlap between "Pre-school" and "Child Care", this section provides information about off-base, part-day, educational programs for pre-school age children.  Parents needing information for childcare should refer to the "Family Issues" topic of this file.
Parents needing information for special needs children should refer to the "Education-Special Education" section.
Parents needing information for on-base pre-school should refer to the "Education-Installation-Preschool" section.

Head Start and Early Head Start
Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive child development programs that serve children from birth to age 5, pregnant women, and their families. They are child-focused programs and have the overall goal of increasing the school readiness of young children in income-eligible families.

Many churches offer a pre-school program.
