The mission of the Tyndall Family Advocacy Program is to build a
healthy Air Force community by developing, implementing, and evaluating policies
and programs designed to prevent, intervene in and treat child and spouse
abuse. We provide these services in areas of assessment, treatment,
referral, case management, and improvement workshops.
The focus for
Family Advocacy is prevention. Specific programs include:
New
Parent Support Program is a voluntary program designed to assist active duty
members and their dependents who have children of or under age 3 or are
expecting a baby. Educational and informational activities will be
offered.
Special Needs Identification & Assignment Coordination
Process (SNIACP)
Is a DoD Mandated Process. It provides a point of
contact for all active duty military families seeking specialty medical, mental
health or educational services.
Family Advocacy Strength-based Therapy
(FAST) promotes family life skills and how to increase their use of military and
civilian resources to empower families and strengthen family
functioning.
Family Advocacy Outreach and Prevention Services organizes
and presents programs including Stress Management, Anger Management, Married and
Loving It, and parenting workshops to help prevent family violence.
