The Military Academic Skills Program MASP is an on-duty, basic
skills program. Classes are conducted over the Marine Corps Satellite Education
Network. Three regionally accredited, degree-granting schools are on the Marine
Corps Air Ground Combat Center:
Chapman University (760) 830-6681
Copper
Mountain College (760) 830-6133/6375
National University (760)
830-6312/6887
The schools are located in Bldg. 1526. They are members of
the Service members Opportunity Colleges (SOC) and guarantee course transfers
from other SOC schools back to the contracting school. SOC schools accept CLEP,
RCEP, and DANTES tests and award credit based on the evaluation of military
training. They facilitate degree completions through SOCMAR and SOCNAV
agreements. Course are offered at the associate, bachlor and graduate levels.
Classes are conducted in a variety of formats and times, in order to accomodate
the various work schedules of the MCAGCC community.
