There are no Child and Youth sponsorship services at Natick.
However there are activities at Hanscom for kids.
The Hanscom AFB Youth
Center offers a Sponsorship Program for Newcomers called the "Youth Pen-Pal
Program."

Programs can also be sought in and
near the local communities of residence. Schools and churches attended are good
sources to check with. Also, the local community hospitals all provide courses,
support groups, and special events on health related subjects, for all
ages.There are numerous employment opportunities for youth in the
area. For those living in the Natick Housing area, the shops, malls
and fast food outlets which line nearby Route 9 are constantly looking for part
time employees. The same applies to the other housing
areas. This is a highly developed area and there are numerous
employment opportunities. There are also plenty of opportunities for
volunteer work. Young people can use the ACS Employment Resource
Center to assist in their employment search. There is a summer hire
program at the installation with plenty of employment opportunities for
youth.There is no youth center on the installation. Most of the
surrounding towns have youth centers and ample opportunities to socialize
through the middle and high schools.Natick is close to Boston and Cambridge
where there is lots to do. Harvard Square in Cambridge has a thriving
night life with coffee shops, street music and lots else. In Boston
you can go the Fanueil Hall market (shops and cafes), the Hard Rock Cafe, a
virtual reality arcade, etc. There is a full range of college and professional
sports: baseball, football, hockey, soccer and
basketball. You can often obtain discount tickets for professional
sporting events and college sports are exciting and inexpensive. There are
several large malls in the area which are a focus of teenage
socializing. The Natick Mall is only a two mile drive from the
installation. Boston is a university town - there are over 70 colleges and
universities within an hour of the installation. They have a vibrant
cultural life throughout the year and many of them offer exciting summer and
evening programs.
