There are approximately 450 appropriated civilian positions at
Shaw AFB, including clerical, trades and crafts, technical and professional
positions. Employment opportunities depend on skills, grade/salary requirements,
and appointment eligibility. Relocating spouses of active duty military who are
currently AF employees should contact the Shaw Civilian Personnel Office, DSN:
965-1395, COM: 895-1395 upon arrival. Family members who
are not AF employees may apply through the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC).
AFPC accepts resumes from individuals eligible for a non-competitive appointment
(transfer, reinstatement and prior military) as well as people interested in
