The Youth Activities Program offers a variety of programs for school aged youth, ages 5 to 18.  The summer program includes such activities as trips to North Carolina beaches, canoe and white water rafting, and visits to amusement parks.  Fall and winter programs include a ski trips, dances, pool, ping pong, foosball, and basketball tournaments.  Located within the facility is one computer lab and the before and after school program which is DOD certified. The youth activities sports program is conducted with emphasis on safety, participation, fun, and good sportsmanship and follows the NYSA Sports guidelines.  The program includes basketball, baseball, girls' softball, and soccer.

"Kids In Touch With Kids" - Are you in Kindergarten through High School?  Are you moving to Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC?  Wondering what there is to do here? What the kids like? The Schools? Well then, contact Youth Programs and get signed up in the "Kids In Touch With Kids" program!  We'll connect you with a pen pal who is your age.  This is a great way to have a friend here to greet you when you arrive!  Additional information may be obtained on the Crossroads web site found at the Contact/Links, then view "Teens & Youth".

The new SJAFB Youth Center is fully equipped with a 10 station computer lab, 6 School Age Program classrooms, preteen activity room and a full sized Gym/Multi-Purpose room.  

The Teen Center is located on the second floor of the Community Center, Bldg., 1310 Andrew Street.  SJAFB Teen Center has a very active Keystone Club, and AF TRAIL Program.  The Teen Lounge is well equipped, and provides youth 13-18 years of age, with numerous activities, community service and sports programs.  For additional information call (919) 722-0334 or DSN 722-0334.

Be sure to check with the Career Focus Manager at the Family Support Center to inquire about youth employment. Each summer she offers a Summer Teen Hire seminar to better equip teens, ages 16 and up, for job placement. The Civilian Personnel Office also offered a Summer Hire program as GS rated civilian employees to numerous teens, 18 and above.
