Spouse/family member employment assistance is available at the Family Support Center. Individual appointments, classes, and access to computers/internet are offered.  Family members may receive assistance with many aspects of the employment process - identifying interests and strengths, training/education/licensing needed for particular careers and career development, job search - in the local area and beyond, completing and submitting resumes/applications, interviews, writing a follow-up letter, networking, resigning a position, requesting unemployment benefits, using Spouse Employment Preference.  The Employment Connection website was designed for you to start your job search while you are at your losing base.  Register on this website; then research the employers that are registered, research the job openings, put your resume on-line, and then apply on-line.  Visit Contact/Links for Employment Connection website.

There are five main sources of employment at Seymour Johnson AFB:

FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE POSITIONS:  Civil service is the on-base employer, presently providing jobs for approximately over 600 personnel.  If you are interested in civil service positions, contact the Human Resources Employment Office by calling (919) 722-0117/DSN 722-0117 or visit Contact/Links for website.

NON-APPROPRIATED FUND (NAF) POSITIONS: These positions are located in the clubs, lodging, gym, hobby shops, golf course, etc. They provide employment for approximately 312 personnel.  Applicants interested in employment with NAF may contact the NAF personnel office at( 919) 722-5328/DSN: 722-5328 or visit Contact/Links for website.

ARMY, AIR FORCE, EXCHANGE SERVICE (AAFES) POSITIONS:  AAFES provides employment to approximately 125 personnel.  These jobs are with the main exchange, service station, flower shop, laundry, etc.  Applications are available at the AAFES Human Resource Office.  Contact them at (919) 735-8511 or visit Contact/Links for website.
