The housing referral service, which is a part of the housing office on Seymour Johnson AFB, is located on Vermont Garrison Street. Everyone, with the exception of those being immediately assigned dormitory space or on-base family housing, must check with the housing office for a briefing and counseling prior to seeking off-base housing.
Unfurnished apartments are readily available, but furnished apartments are limited. Although most rentals favor 12-month leases, the housing office has been successful in getting lesser times, in special cases, especially because of the rotation involved with the training classes.
BAH applications are available in the Housing Office. Single Airmen and military married to military members who will be at Seymour Johnson should report to the housing office to determine eligibility.
