demonstrate domestic and farm chores on Wednesdays for the Living History Days
at Charles B. Aycock Birthplace Historic Site.

The festive and beautiful
Christmas Parade is held on 2 December in downtown Mount Olive. Call
(919) 685-3113.Goldsboro is perfectly located - the centerpiece of Wayne County,
which is comprised of several communities. Mount Olive is the second
largest town and is known for its famed Mount Olive Pickles. Fremont,
located about 14 miles from Goldsboro, continues to attract newcomers,
particularly young residents.
Within a day's drive of Seymour Johnson are
the Blue Ridge and Great Smokie Mountains, the Outer banks and beaches on the
Atlantic Ocean; Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, and Colonial Williamsburg in
