Military spouse preference for Appropriated Fund
positions are afforded through the DoD Priority Placement Program. In order for
a spouse to be eligible, he/she must already be serving on an excepted
appointment overseas or on a career-conditional appointment at the time PCS
orders are issued. The spouse needs to register in PPP with the military
component of the last duty station of the previous employer. Army spouses need
to contact the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) AT US Army

be placed on leave without pay or be separated from their appointment due to PCS
in order to receive spouse preference Priority Placement Program consideration.
