No matter how well you have planned your move, emergencies do
happen. If you encounter an emergency that will prevent you to be on time for
signing-in call your gaining unit. Make sure you keep the name of person(s) you
talked with as well as the time of such conversation.
For emergency
financial assistance contact the nearest military installation (within 50 miles
of your location) or the nearest American Red Cross Office. See
record listing below for emergency agencies and numbers. The
Emergency Assistance Program serves as the liaison office for all military

Corps Relief). Coast Guard personnel can receive assistance through their
Command Unit or American Red Cross Military Family Service section. The
Emergency Assistance Program also offers an Emergency Food Program for the
purpose of providing short term emergency food vouchers to military families who
are experiencing temporary food shortages due to financial hardships.
