Individuals residing on base, primarily utilize 3 school
districts; the Anchor Bay School District (Sebille Manor residents), the Mount
Clemens School District (Selfridge residents) and the L'Anse Creuse School
District (Selfridge Housing residents only). School start dates for
each district varies. Enrollment requirements: Students
must reside within the Anchor Bay, Mount Clemens or L'Anse Creuse School
District, have proof of residency, and have a certified birth certificate and
immunization record. Previous school transcripts will be requested by the

The
following documents are required by the State of Michigan for admittance to
school:
1. Child's birth certificate or proof of age
2. Child's
Social Security Number
3. Copies of report cards, unofficial copies of school
records or other verification of grade placement and credits earned
4. Proof
of Residency - Drivers license AND:Some additional form of ID (Example - a
utility bill mailed to the new address, etc)
5. Immunization Records:
Vaccines received on or after the child's 1st birthday - Please contact
the Health Department
.DTP/P/TD - Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping
Cough)
.Hepatitis B
.Hib (Influenza)
.MMR-Measles, Mumps, Rubella
.Polio
.PCV7 (Pneumococcal Conjugate) and Chickenpox

& Diphtheria booster)
At present, nine of ten L'Anse Creuse
elementary schools (Atwood, Chesterfield, Marie C. Graham, Green, Francis A.
Higgins, Emma V. Lobbestael, South River, Tenniswood and Donald J. Yacks) have
earned North Central Association (NCA) accreditation.
Mount Clemens
Community Schools offers 2 Extended Day Programs - Fees are $3.25 an
hour. There are also weekly fees available (at $40.00 - $50.00) and a
Registration Fee $35.00 per family. Mt Clemens Schools also offers a
prevention/intervention program called "Search, Discover, and Explore", an after
school program available on Wednesdays when students are released early. There
is no cost for students to participate in this program?however, registration and
enrollment forms for this program must be submitted for each student who intends
to stay after school is dismissed on early-release Wednesdays. Bus
transportation for eligible students will be provided for students who do not
participate (two-hours before the regular school dismissal time) as well as
those that participate (at the regular school dismissal time) in the Search,
Discover, Explore Program.
The Anchor Bay School District offers a Young
Five's Program for kindergarten age children who need additional maturing or
fine or gross motor skill development. All students participate in art, music,
physical education and technology classes.
