The Outreach and Prevention Program provides classes, special
events, and support groups in the following
areas: mothers-on-the-move (exercise and walking group for new and
expectant mothers), parenting young children, assertiveness training, time and
stress management, anger management, "Family Life Skills," "Great Beginnings"
(new parent program), divorce issues, long distance parenting, and several other
parenting classes.
The Family Advocacy Nurse Program provides
maltreatment prevention services including medical facility and home visits to
families with preschool children. This includes maternal and child
health and safety education.
The Exceptional Family Member Program is for
families with exceptional medical or educational requirements. This
program assists with identifying needs, locating resources, and verifying
availability of needed resources at time of reassignment.
The Family
Maltreatment Intervention Program evaluates referrals of suspected family member
maltreatment, assesses safety issues, and develops initial plans for
intervention when indicated. Services are provided to support a case
management plan for substantiated cases.
