The Army Community Service (ACS) Family Employment Readiness
Program (FERP) provides a variety of free resources to spouses, solders,
retirees, reservists and relocating Department of the Army civilians in their
job search process. Services include employment and career
counseling, information on local employment and job fairs, assistance with
career, educational, and volunteer opportunities, a resource library, and
computers with internet access.
An ACS "Employment Orientation" is held
weekly. This orientation provides an overview of the FERP, extensive
employment information, and a Resource Packet. Monthly employment
training workshops and free computer classes are also offered.
A
self-help job information area is located at ACS Schofield Barracks, Bldg 2091.
This area provides private sector job listings, staffing agencies employment
brochures, the ACS Hawaii Family Employment Resource Guide, and Nonappropriated
(NAF) job vacancy listings. NAF applications can also be placed in
the "drop-box" which is located right outside of the ACS Center at Schofield
Barracks.
