Child welfare services are provided to children and their
families when the children are reported to have been abused and/ore neglected or
to be at risk for abuse and/or neglect. These services include child
protection, family support, foster care, adoption, independent living, and
licensing of foster family homes, group homes, and child placing
organizations.
