Check-in Procedures: Ships present/shore

Locations for checking-in vary according to the
command to which you are assigned but generally your first stop will be with the
Officer-of-the Day at the Main Gate. This is the best place to get
current information on ships in port and directions to your ship or command.

Deployed Ships: Personnel reporting for duty to a deployed
unit usually do so at the Transient Personnel Unit, or TPU, on Naval Base San
Diego at 32nd St. and Harbor Drive. Personnel can call TPU at 619-556-3182 to
check in.
Personnel assigned to the Naval Base San Diego or a tenant
command should report first to the command's Quarterdeck.
