There are many opportunities for part time work in the local
community. With two major malls, three Riverboat Casinos, and a
variety of service organizations, Part Time jobs are plentiful and relatively
easy to find. The classified section of the local newspapers often
list Part Time openings, as do the state unemployment
agencies. Consult these websites or contact your Employment Readiness
Program for more information.
1. The Illinois Workforce
Development Center is located at 4703 - 16th Street, Moline, IL 61265 (across
from SouthPark Mall). Additional information on Illinois state
employment for veterans can be obtained from the IL State VET REP in Springfield
at. Note that the State of Illinois maintains the East Moline
Correctional Center, 100 Hillcrest Road, East Moline, IL 61244.
2 Iowa Workforce Development Center is located at 902 West
Kimberly Road, Davenport, IA 52806 (Village Shopping Center two blocks west of
NorthPark Mall).
3 There are some local job websites available from the
Family Employment Readiness Program located in building 110.
