The U.S. Army Health Clinic, located in the basement of building
110, is staffed and equipped to promote and maintain the physical well being of
active duty military of the Rock Island Arsenal, in accordance with
AR40-5. In addition to this primary mission, the clinic will see
dependents and retiree's of the area on a space and time available
basis. All active duty family members, retirees, and retiree's family
members must schedule an appointment with the appointment clerk in order to be
seen by a clinic physician.
Prescription renewals necessitate
making an appointment for a physician's evaluation. Prescriptions
will not be refilled or renewed without an appointment.
Dental care
services are not available.
The local community offers easy accessibility
to medical and dental care facilities. There are 9 local hospitals,
810 MDs & DOs, 204 Dentists, 311 Doctor's of Chiropractic, 9 Express Care
Centers, 5 Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Palmer College of Chiropractic
Care, the largest Chiropractic College in the world is located in
Davenport. In addition the Quad Cities is approximately 50 miles to
the University of Iowa Medical Center. U of I Hospitals and Clinics
are the world's largest University owned research hospital and nationally rated
medical complex. Hours of operation are 0730-1600 Monday through
Friday.
