ILLINOIS:
Workforce
Development Center, 4703 16th Street, Moline, IL, provides job training
opportunities and support for dislocated workers, the economically
disadvantaged, and individuals with special barriers to
employment. Services available include: basic skills, GED, classroom
training, and job search/placement services. Workforce Investment Act
provides job training and job seeking assistance to economically disadvantaged
persons and dislocated workers.
Black Hawk College - Women's Resource
Program, 301 42nd Avenue, East Moline, IL, provides support services to single
parents and displaced homemakers seeking to access education and/or
employment.
Illinois Workforce Employment & Training Center, 4703
16th Street #F, Moline, IL, provides unemployment insurance and job placement
for employers, applicants, and the general public.
IOWA:
Iowa
Workforce Development Center, 902 West Kimberly Road, Davenport,
IA offers the following services: career awareness presentations to
youth and adults, job placement, job insurance claims, veterans placement
(assists veterans in placement and career counseling), labor market information,
statistics and condition of employment demographics, professional testing for
typing and data entry, resume making software and resources, and certified work
keys assessment center.
Scott Community College - Career Assistance
Program, offers GED preparation, adult basic education, English as a second
language, women's education, and job/career training.
