As a newly assigned member to RAFB, you have 72 hours to
permanently register your privately-owned vehicles (POVs). Even if
you have a vehicle decal from your last base, you still need to report to Bldg.
263, Pass and Registration section, to register your vehicles on
Robins.
Motorcycle owners will be issued a temporary pass until
completion of the Motorcycle Safety Course.
All privately-owned weapons,
whether kept in base housing or the SP Armory, must be registered with Pass and
Registration. No weapons will be kept in the dormitories.
It
is a requirement on RAFB for all passengers in automobiles manufactured after
1964, to use seat belts.
Children under the age of six will be secured in
a child safety seat approved by the Department of Public
Safety.
Parking: Don't park in a reserved space
(Example: "RES 0210" painted on the pavement. Don't park
in a visitor space within two blocks of your work area. Do park in
spaces designed by white lines or bumper blocks. Do park your
motorcycle in designated parking spaces. Visitor spaces are for two
hours unless otherwise marked.
If you purchase a car and wish to have a
courtesy check conducted by the SPS Drug Detector Dogs, you may contact the
Security Police Kennel Master at 926-2697. You must have the check
conducted within 15 days of the purchase of the vehicle.
Dial 911 for
police, fire, or medical emergencies.
The speed limit on RAFB is 30 MPH
unless otherwise posted. The security police are responsible for
enforcing the speed limits and all other traffic laws.
Vehicles may be
stopped and inspected at any of the base entrances. Military Working
Dogs are periodically used to detect illicit drugs and firearms being
transported onto and off of the base.
Restricted Areas: There
are several restricted areas on RAFB that are clearly marked with painted lines
and restricted area signs. Entry to these areas is strictly limited
to those personnel who have a re-occurring need to
enter.
Photography: Restricted areas are marked and there is
to be no photographing in these areas.
