The military spouse who is seeking to develop a personal career
must tackle the problems imposed by frequent moves. Networking before
you move as well as after you arrive can sometimes be the key to a successful
job search.
Local businesses within the surrounding communities of
Randolph are willing to hire military spouses for both part-time and full-time
positions.
The "Career Focus Program" available through the Family
Support Center is designed to assist military spouses in their job
search. Through the Career Focus Program spouses can hone
resume-writing skills, learn and practice interviewing techniques, use the
"employment resource center" computers and job listing information, and much
more.
For spouses who are relocating from a DoD position as a result of
their military spouse's PCS, Military Spouse Preference can help provide some
priority in the employment selection process in finding a position in the new
location.
