This program is a pathway of education and supportive services
for first-time parents at RAFB. These services include prenatal and
infancy education, consultations, referrals, community liaison, and emotional
support. Services may be provided in the home, in a hospital/clinic
setting, or by phone consultation.
We want to make your transition into a
wonderful world of parenthood as smooth as possible. This program may
be for you if you have had no previous baby experience, are experiencing a
complicated pregnancy, have no family or emotional support in the San Antonio
area, or are just interested in learning all you can about the transition to
parenthood and your new baby.
The First-Time Parent Program is voluntary,
conducted confidentially, and of no cost to you. It was created to
help you build a strong, happy family.
