Active Duty military
members using Tuition Assistance are entitled to in-state tuition in
Virginia. Out-of-state tuition will be charged if the member is not
using TA.
Spouses do not receive a waiver of out-of-state tuition in
Virginia. In order to qualify, the spouse must establish residency in
Virginia by paying income taxes on at least $8500 of earned
income.
