Quality health care is available to the military community
through the Presidio of Monterey Army Health Clinic and the three hospitals in
the area.
OVERVIEW HEALTH
Referrals are made and to David
Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base (140 miles) for treatment of
problems for which the local facilities are not staffed, to ensure the best of
medical care. Also available is the Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto (90
miles), and all the facilities in San Francisco. Active Duty
personnel are served by the Presidio of Monterey Army Health Clinic (POMAHC).
Retirees and family members will be using the TRICARE health Program,
and will use designated providers in the community.
